Abstract: Abstract: having as a presupposition the debatable but posed idea of madness linked to law, passing through rational thought in the 17th century, which links lucidity to full existence, this brief text explores the relationship between mental illness and the way it is approached. for the law and closer to punitive law in Brazil.
