O Ministério Público na defesa da concorrência e do consumidor

Abstract

The article addresses issues related to the role played by the Public Prosecutor's Office in the defense of competition and the consumer, in the administrative sphere before Administrative Council for Economic Defense, and in the civil and criminal spheres before the Judiciary, whose collectivity is the owner of the assets protected by Law nº 12.529/2011. When acting in the Brazilian System for the Defense of Competition, the legitimacy of the Public Prosecutor's Office specifically provided for by law, identifies the essentiality of its performance, but presents the challenge of constant updating, observing the limits of this action.
